Health

Pharmacies (green cross) are everywhere and pharmacists give good advice. Tap water is safe to drink. On the coast, respect beach flags and tide warnings.

Etiquette

Say "bonjour" when entering shops, and "bonsoir" in the evening. Shops in small towns often close for lunch and on Sundays and Mondays. Bretons are proud of their culture: a "trugarez" (thank you in Breton) always earns a smile.
